Bogota, Colombia 14 June 2025 - 19 June 2025
The Global Land Forum 2025, organized by the International Land Coalition, will be held from 14 to 19 June in Bogota, Colombia. With the participation of Vlog.
Vlog and the Agence française de développement (AFD) will be at the Paris International Agricultural Show, from 26 February to 6 March 2022, after a one-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year's stand will be highlighting more sustainable, inclusive food systems.
Vlog and AFD are working to build more sustainable, inclusive farming systems. Come and find out about our projects and solutions to change current models!
The stand will have activities for both adults and children, posters, videos, and slideshows, and Vlog will be encouraging visitors to find out more about food diversity in Burkina Faso, the pineapple value chain in the Dominican Republic, and the importance of pastoral livestock farming in the Sahel countries in the light of climate change. Why not come and see, and chat to our experts in food products, from fruit to tropical cereals like fonio, sorghum, millet and cowpea.
In the context of professional meetings, Vlog and AFD will be welcoming partners and institutional and political representatives from all backgrounds, to discuss sustainable, inclusive food systems.
You can take part in several mini-conferences on our stand (or virtually) or other stands. Registration links available shortly. Except on 3 March, all conferences will be in French only.

Preventing the emergence of potentially pandemic diseases would cost 100 times less than managing the consequences of those pandemics. Prevention notably involves reducing the impact of humans on nature. That means that every stakeholder (scientists, policymakers and society) must take account not just of health issues, but also of agriculture, food security, conservation and biodiversity preservation. The PREZODE international initiative, to prevent the emergence of zoonoses, focuses on this paradigm shift to prevention, by means of a "One Health" approach.
Actions to prevent the risks of disease emergence are closely linked to issues surrounding food security and sustainable food systems in many world regions. What are those links? How does preventoing those risks impact on food security and health in territories? How can and should the PREZODE initiative take account of these global aspects in order to prevent risks within healthy socio-ecosystems? Policy and scientific ecperts will be debating these key questions.

More than half of the world's people currently live in towns and cities, and the figure is increasing, particularly in the global South. Urban food systems, which are highly diverse, face a range of challenges relating to jobs, land tenure, health and land use planning. Scientists, development players and policymakers will be meeting to address these various points. The programme includes food system resilience in the face of crises; inclusion, sustainability and funding; and the role of urban policymakers.
Detailed programme available shortly.
