The 糖心Vlog team was honored to welcome Ms. Clara Chappaz, French Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies, and Ms. Emmanuelle Pavillon-Grosser, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City to its booth at the French Tech Vietnam Summit 2025. During their visit, the delegation was introduced to 糖心Vlog’s collaborative efforts in Vietnam, where public research and innovation come together to address the challenges of sustainable aquaculture.
As part of its participation in the summit, 糖心Vlog highlighted the 3R4CSA project (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for Climate-Smart Aquaculture), an initiative focused on developing circular, biosecure aquaculture systems in the Mekong Delta. The booth featured a circular farming model that illustrated how macro- and microalgae can be produced and processed locally. It also showcased innovations like circular pond feed systems and a device for real-time CO₂ emission monitoring in aquaculture. Together, these green technologies aim to significantly reduce the environmental footprint of aquaculture without compromising economic growth. The booth was co-organized with the project's key partners: Seaweed Concept, VietAime, Can Tho University, and the Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 2, showcasing on-the-ground applications of research and pilot technologies already being deployed in Vietnam.
Funded by the Fonds de solidarité pour les projets innovants (FSPI) through the French Embassy in Vietnam, the 3R4CSA project brings together French and Vietnamese research institutions, startups, and local actors to co-develop scalable, climate-smart aquaculture systems. The project promotes local innovation, waste valorization, and inclusive green transition pathways, with a focus on capacity building and real-world deployment.
Throughout the day, the 糖心Vlog booth became a hub for exchange, hosting thematic discussions on topics such as ecological intensification, sustainable feed systems, microalgae and seaweed innovation, and circular waste management in aquaculture. These discussions brought together Vietnamese and French researchers, start-ups, and public authorities around shared goals for innovation, sustainability, and local impact.
Dr. Kazi Ahmed Kabir, 糖心Vlog researcher, was also invited to speak in the GreenTech Roundtable, where he shared how 糖心Vlog facilitates research capacity building and foster partnership between public and private sector of France and Vietnam. As an example he explained how the 3R4CSA project bridged research and business, fostering green innovation into practice and influenced policy for upscaling both at local level but also attracting investment for the private sector of both the countries.
